Noh Hye-Jin

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the actual conditions of various time poverty and to identify the influencing factors. To this end, this study divided the areas of time poverty into three categories: freedom, labor, and sovereignty using the Korean Labor Panel data. Based on the concept, this study analyzed the actual situation of poverty and the factors of influence. As a result of the analysis, time poverty rates were common among women, low-education groups, non-wage work type, preschool children living in Seoul, and no spouses. The concept of double poverty in terms of time and income was not significantly different from that of time poverty, but the rate of double poverty was high when older and disabled. Finally, the impact factors of time poverty and double poverty were similar. The possibility of time poverty and double poverty increased with women, non-wage working conditions (employer-employed or temporary work, unpaid family workers), preschool children, and no spouses. Based on these results, this study suggests an improvement of concept definition and measurement method of time poverty, and an in-depth study of policy to guarantee time.
